PARIS (AP) -- France's Bonjour, Spain's Kelme and Danish team Memory Card Technology Jack and Jones were given wildcard entries on Wednesday for the upcoming Tour de France.

"The three invited teams appear to us to have the best sporting references," said Tour director Jean-Marie Leblanc.

Bonjour is led by top climber Jean-Cyril Robin, Kelme is not a surprise choice given its long Tour history and Memory Card is the top points scorer in May.

There are 17 other teams competing in the three-week race, beginning July 1.

Cofidis, AG2R, Francaise des Jeux, Festina and Credit Agricole will represent France, while Polti, Mercatone Uno, Saeco, Vini Caldirola and Mapei are from Italy.

ONCE and Banesto will represent Spain, with two Dutch teams -- Farm Frites and Rabobank -- also in contention. Deutsche Telekom, from Germany, U.S. Postal and Ltto of Belgium complete the lineup.
