PERPIGNAN, France (AP) -- Three French cyclists, including Christophe Morel, the country's cyclo-cross champion, have been arrested and placed under investigation on doping charges, according to French judicial sources, speaking on customary anonymity. Morl, Thierry Laurent, a former racer for the Festina team, and another cyclist from the Lyon region, were brought before Judge Francis Boyer in the southern port of Perpignan on Thursday night. A fourth person, a medical doctor, was released following an appearance before the judge. The riders are accused of peddling a mixture of amphetamines, cocaine, heroin and caffeine called "Belgian pot."
