With some good wins this season Bonjour deserved their place at the Tour and charismatic team boss Jean-René Bernaudeau is determined to have a good race.

Extra sponsorship from System-U fell through but Didier Rous, François Simon and Damien Nazon will still be giving it everything for some glory in their national tour.

Simon wore the yellow jersey for three days in the Alps last year after getting in the stage eight break.

He doggedly waited for Stuart O’Grady to fade and then enjoyed his three days of glory as part of France’s best known cycling family.

Wisely Bernaudeau has picked a fully French team for the Tour, which will make him a favorite for the French media.

He has also been working on Nazon, carefully building him up for the Tour sprints.

As well as Rous, Simon and Nazon, the other riders are Sylvian Chavanel, Pascal Déramé, Emmanuel Magnien, Franck Rénier, Franck Bouyer and Walter Bénéteau.
