Jean Delatour Posted: Thursday July 11, 2002 7:11 AMCycling Weekly magazine profiles the teams racing to Paris in this year's Tour de France.
Last on our list and last into the Tour after Jean-Marie Leblanc threw out Saeco and brought in his favorite French team, Jean Delatour will be happy just to be at the start in Luxembourg. Last year’s team leader, Laurent Brochard, finished 23rd at 56.01 and anything better than that will be a good result. Patrice Halgand has a chance of winning a stage, as he did at the Dauphiné Libéré and at the Four Days of Dunkirk but surely Saeco, Coast or Gerolsteiner deserved this final place in the Tour. Other riders are Stéphane Goubert, Gilles Bouvard, Laurent Lefevre, Joona Laukka, Eddy Seigneur, Laurent Roux and Bruno Thibout.
