Lampre-Daikin Posted: Thursday July 11, 2002 7:16 AMCycling Weekly magazine profiles the teams racing to Paris in this year's Tour de France.
Like Fassa Bortolo and Mapei, Lampre also consider the Tour their second most important stage race. Their lineup is a mixed bag of riders with any chance of a good overall in the hands (and legs) of Lithuanian Raimondas Rumsas. Jan Svorada won on the Champs-Elysées last year and will be in the thick of the sprints again, while Luciano Pagliarini -- the only Brazilian rider in the peloton -- could be useful if he gets in a break. The other riders are Latvian Raivis Belohvosciks, Rubens Bertogliati, Milan Kadlec, Marco Pinotti, Marco Serpellini and Zbigniew Spruch.
