Hungarian talent Laszlo Bodrogi will be leading the team for the overall, with world champion Oscar Freire, South African Robert Hunter, Tom Steels and Andrea Tafi going for stage wins.

Bodrogi has already shown his talent at the Tour de l’Avenir in 2001 when he won two stages.

Oscar Freire showed he is back on form at Catalan Week and is bound to show off his rainbow jersey in the first week, while Tafi is looking for a Tour stage to complete his palmarès.

Former mountain biker Miguel Martinez is also down to ride his first home Tour.
