Dario Frigo will be team leader at Tacconi Sport but will surely struggle after giving it everything at the Giro. The day he blew in the mountains he said he was not a three-week race rider. If Frigo does not last the distance, the team leadership will pass to Austrian Peter Luttenberger, with Gianluca Bortolami and Andrej Hauptman going for stage wins. Bortolami won a stage in 1994, the day after the Tour left Portsmouth. Other riders include Paolo Bossoni, Massimo Donati and Eddy Mazzoleni.
