NBC's Tony Dungy joined the show to discuss the big stories in the NFL. Here are some of Dungy's takes:
On Brett Favre: "My guess is that he's coming back. they got close. He feels he can do it with this team."
On criticsim of Tim Tebow: "I heard the same things about Steve Young. I heard the same things about Vince Young."
On where Tebow will be drafted: "I'd be surprised if by the end of the first round somebody hasn't taken him."
On Ben Roethlisberger: "You can't do this to yourself. You can't do it to the Steelers franchise."
On Eagles not trading a quarterback yet: "I can kind of see Andy Reid's point. You never can have too many quarterbacks."
On Reid having trouble letting go of Donovan McNabb: "It's very difficult for a coach. [McNabb] and Andy have been through so many big games together. ... That's going to be hard for Andy to do. ... I wouldn't see myself pulling that trigger if I had been through that many games."
On Michael Vick: "He's very patient. If he ends up in Philadelphia, he's going to be fine with that and work as hard as he can."
On overtime rule change: "I just felt there's not all that much wrong with the overtime we have now." |
