Rays' Evan Longoria doesn't think he'll be AL MVP

Rays third baseman Evan Longoria joined the show to talk about the upcoming season.
Longoria wouldn't agree with Dan that he is the favorite to win the AL MVP. Longoria said that he likes A-Rod or Michael Young as candidates. Longoria said it's not in his nature to brag.
Longoria had some interesting comments on pitchers he hates to face. He said Roy Halladay would get the Rays so worked up, they couldn't recover for three or four days after facing him.
Longoria also said he's no fan of Mariano Rivera.
"It's one of those songs that you hear on the radio and you immediately think about the guy," Longoria said.
Longoria also talked about his superstitions. He said he will fix any hole in his pants because he's not getting new pants. And he'd rather you hit on his girlfriend than touch his glove.
One more interesting note, Longoria doesn't watch baseball on TV. Just the Travel Channel, Discovery and National Geographic. |
