South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier joined the show to talk about the state of his program and more.

"I'd like to win an SEC," Spurrier said. "Some people say it can't be done against the big schools."

Dan asked Spurrier what he thought of Lane Kiffin leaving the SEC to go to USC. "I think our commissioner is happy he left. He doesn't bother me," Spurrier said.

Spurrier talked about what happened in Washington when he coached the Redskins.

"We Just  didn't have a very good team," Spurrier said.  I just didn't enjoy pro football very much."

Spurrier said working for Daniel Snyder was "OK," but it didn't sound like a perfect hit. "I didn't have it in my contract that I could pick the team. Then I realized I wasn't in control," Spurrier said.

Spurrier also weighed in on Tim Tebow. "I think Tim Tebow is a tremendous competitor," Spurrier said. "He can work on his passing motion."

Spurrier said that he's not a bowl guy ... he'd like a playoff system. "I've always wondered why college football is the only sport I can think of that doesn't have a tournament," Spurrier said. But Spurrier said if there's not going to be a playoff, then the BCS is the next best thing.
