Football Night in America show producer Sam Flood says that there's an internal investigation at NBC about Bob Costas' chair problem on Sunday night. Apparently, Dan was seen lingering around the studio before the show started.

Flood can't tell Dan that he is next in line if Costas goes down. Apparently Chris Meyers is in the mix.

If you didn't see it, Costas turned to face Collinsworth and nearly fell. Then he fell apart for a moment, mentioning colleague "Jerome Buttis."
