Duke and Team USA Basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski joined the show to talk about his summer. Here are some his takes ...
-- Krzyzewski had interesting comments on LeBron James and some of the controversy around him leaving Cleveland.
"I just think that change in scenery doesn't mean you don't want to lead," Coach K said. "How it was handled and everything is up for grabs. ... I don't think it's wrong for him to want to be in a different scene and have different talents around him that might bring out the best in him."
-- Krzyzewski said that usually when he works with pros, they know who they are. But this team is young and he's still figuring out how to build their ego and maintain confidence.
-- Dan informed Coach K that the 1991-92 Duke team is on SI.com's most-hated list. Kryzewski said that he sees that as a sign of respect, because all the teams on the list are winners.
-- Krzyzewski talked about chemistry. "If you have stars and chemistry, you're going to be hard to beat," he said.
-- Coach K said has never and will never go to a restaurant in Chapel Hill. |
