Chris Drury is mobbed after leading Trumbull, Conn., to a Little League World Series title.

Before he became an NHL star, Chris Drury led Trumbull, Conn., to the 1989 Little League World Series title, so he's the perfect person to comment on Jericho Scott, the 9-year-old boy who was banned for being too good.

Drury thought they should have just let Scott pitch. Kids are going to have to strike out at some point. Both Drury and Dan agree if there's no safety issue, there's absolutely no reason for Scott not to pitch.

Drury said that when he won '89, the Little League World Series wasn't quite as big. Then it got a little ridiculous with the close-ups of kids crying. But Drury said ESPN has gotten better.

Interesting footnote: Drury probably would have continued to play baseball, but he broke his wrist during his junior year of high school. He was able to play hockey with the cast, but not baseball. Drury was devastated to give up baseball, but it’s all worked out for the best. Except, maybe, signing with the Rangers. We'll see how that turns out. So far, Drury does not look like he'll win another Stanley Cup in the Big Apple.
