Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio broke the story that Cleveland will make a big offer to Bill Cowher. Here's Florio's takes on Cowher and more NFL topics:

-- Florio would be surprised if Cowher took the Browns job and threw out his legacy in Pittsburgh, since they're such big rivals.

-- Florio also pointed to Detroit and Dallas as potential landing spots for Cowher.

-- Florio says Jerry Jones might be thinking twice about offensive coordinator Jason Garrett as the next head coach as the Cowboys struggle this year.

-- Florio says Bengals owner Mike Brown could have gotten a first-rounder from Washington for Chad Johnson this offseason. Now Brown will probably get less for Ocho Cinco this offseason if the Bengals decide to deal him.

-- Florio commented on media outlets discussing gambling. He believes that if NFL banned gambling, it wouldn't have a huge impact on the game.
