Dan explains why he deserves a Heisman vote

Heisman director Rob Whalen joined the show to hear Dan's pitch for a Heisman vote. When I heard how many big games Dan had been to this year, it's not even an argument. Dan is far more deserving of a vote than tons of the 900-plus people who do cast a ballot.

Whalen had some interesting tidbits on the Heisman process.

-- Between 3 and 5 percent have filed already this year. Most voters are waiting until after this weekend's game.

-- Heisman organizers are cautious about changing the system so the voting is after the bowls. He thinks it might be disrespectful to all the past winners. And it could turn into a bowl MVP trophy.

-- Heisman trophies do get damaged. Most notable, Eddie George's trophy has a damaged finger.
