Hall of Famer Joe Montana joined the show and had some provocative takes ...
-- Montana had interesting comments on the LaDainian Tomlinson situation. Montana could relate to LT's frustration. When the 49ers promoted Steve Young over him, Montana was upset because he couldn't even compete for the job. Montana said if he had competed and lost, he would have stayed. But he wasn't just going to sit there, so he got out of town.
-- Montana said he didn't help Young prepare for games. That wasn't his job. He was competing for the job. Why would he help the guy who wanted his position. "That's not a competitor," Montana said.
-- Montana said that you never know how a college player will translate to the pros. He thinks the best best is watching a guy on film in college, but even that's not that accurate.
-- Montana said Florida will not change its offense for Tim Tebow. He just doesn't think the Gators will put Tebow under the center. Montana said dropping back is a much different view, and shotgun is much easier.
-- Montana said that some schools just don't prepare QBs for the NFL. USC, however, does, so Mark Sanchez has a good shot at the next level. And Montana says he has a hunch that Tebow might actually be the one who makes it.
