The Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy joined the show to talk about the latest news on Alex Rodriguez.

-- Shaughnessy said commissioner Bud Selig shouldn't suspend A-Rod without suspending the 103 other players that were caught in 2003.

-- Shaughnessy said A-Rod has "somewhat taken it like a man" by not talking about other guys on the list.

-- Shaughnessy thinks that the piling on A-Rod is unfair and has been for years. And the recent criticism in New York is "way over the top." He thinks a lot of that has to do with jealousy.

--- Dan asked Shaughnessy which player would really surprise him. Shaughnessy immediately said Ken Griffey Jr.

-- Dan asked Shaughnessy if he could have added a couple of questions to the Peter Gammons interview with A-Rod, what would they have been? Shaughnessy said that he would have asked about HGH and whether A-Rod injected steroids.
