The great Alonzo Mourning joined the show to talk about the state of the game.

-- Dan asked Mourning if he think he could have left early for the NBA. "I think I could have left [after my freshman year]," Mourning said.

But Mourning is very happy he stayed in school. "It did me very well going into my rookie year in '92," Mourning said.

-- Dand and 'Zo got into comparing him and Patrick Ewing. "I think I was a little more intimidating," Mourning said.

Dan said he'd feel more comfortable taking the ball to him than Ewing or Mutombo. Mourning didn't sound very happy about it.

-- Mourning said Hakeem Olajuwon was the toughest player he ever played against. Mourning agrees with Dan that Hakeem is above Shaq and Ewing. Mourning says that Olajuwon only ranks behind Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

"He had the versatility of a small forward. The length of a center. And the shooting touch of a two-guard," Mourning said of Olajuwon.

-- Mourning said Dennis Rodman was the only player to ever get under his skin.
