After he won the Houston Open in a playoff, Dan chose golfer Paul Casey for this week's award. This was the Englishman's first win on American soil and Dan thinks he's a real threat for next week's Masters.
"The self-belief, this is a very difficult thing to explain and to work on, because you don't want to be arrogant," Casey said. "But yet you have to believe in yourself. For me, it's just been a lot of hard work, playing a lot of golf, and a bit of time."
Dan is a big fan of workmanlike golfers and is advising anyone in a Masters pool to look hard at this kid. Casey enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed.
One slight knock on Casey, he sort of cried after his dramatic tournament victory. But at leas he admitted it:
"I'm a softie," Casey said. "I cry at rubbish movies and things like that. I cry at Bambi."
Other nominees from the crew this week: Ty Lawson, Michigan State and surprising soccer star Federico Macheda. |
