Larry Bird joined the show to talk about the playoffs and his past ...

Bird couldn't believe the Bulls let Paul Pierce hit three shots in a row at the end of the game. He doesn't understand why Chicago didn't make him go left. Bird says Pierce likes to spin and go right, and he likes a jumper instead of taking it to the hole. Bird also said Pierce isn't the greatest free-throw shooter, so maybe fouling was an option.

Bird said that double-teams didn't bother him. He knew he could get the ball to Dennis Johnson because he was going right to the basket.

Bird also commented on the steal of the Isiah Thomas pass in the 1987 Eastern Conference Finals. He said it was total reaction play. He was going to shoot, then he saw a white shirt cut down the lane, and it was D.J.

Bird said he was counting down the final moments of that game in his head. He said he learned to do that as a kid.

Bird said he thinks Stephen Curry is going to be a good player. He said he's reloading the Pacers right now. Bird said they've always been up against the luxury tax, but now they're sort of building from scratch, and Bird is happy with the progress.

Larry and Dan got into a great conversation about French Lick, Ind. He said he once scored 55 points and grabbed 38 boards in a game. Bird is not happy about the new stoplight in French Lick. It's the only one there.

Larry says that Dan could score on him. Bird says he still doesn't play defense.
