Mavericks owner Mark Cuban joined the show to discuss Dallas' upcoming series against Denver. Cuban made it clear he has no intention of taking it easy for this series, even though he could potentially get in trouble.

Dan asked Cuban how good the Mavs are right now. "I don't know," Cuban said. "When we have Josh Howard basically being our MVP, we can be really good."

Dan also asked Cuban about Denver's J.R. Smith. Cuban took exception to an elbow Smith threw at Dallas' Antoine Wright. Of course Cuban is not backing down, and he thinks Wright will shut down Smith in the upcoming series.

Cuban talked about efforts to make the NBA less expensive in these times. Cuban said he doesn't think that there's a stigma sitting in luxury boxes, because there's so much yelling in the arena, no one is thinking stigmas.

Cuban admitted he talked to Shaquille O'Neal. Cuban said he and Shaq talked about festivities at the All-Star game and that's it. Cuban said that any player over 30 comes up to him at a game, because they're thinking about their contracts.

Cuban said he's not too worried about swine flu disrupting the upcoming series right now. He said they scrub down the locker room regularly.

Dan and Cuban got into performance-enhancing drugs as well. Cuban has a different take on the whole issue: "Everything is always good until it's banned. Is Lasik performance-enhancing? Is Tommy John surgery performance-enhancing? ... There's always going to be advancements in science and technology sports won't be able to keep up with."

Cuban also said that he is out of the baseball team-buying business ... at least for now.
