Baseball legend Pete Rose joined the show to talk about several issues in MLB today.

-- Rose commented on players linked to steroids and their chances of reaching the Hall of Fame. "I'm willing to give a guy a second chance," Rose said. "Would I vote for A-Rod right now based on his record? Right now I would. Manny Ramirez? He's not quite there, but he'll get there."

But Rose did say he gets upset at steroids. "If someone was juicing and broke my [hits] record, I'd be pissed," Rose said. "Hank [Aaron] was probably pissed, but he just didn't show it."

Here are some more of Rose's takes on steroids:

"If you can change records because you did something illegal, it's just not right. I believe baseball records are sacred."

"It's a big mess and baseball has a big problem on its hands. It's a public relations nightmare.

-- Rose doesn't believe A-Rod could have been involved in pitch-tipping. "I think it's a farce," Rose said. "I don't see how it could happen. ... I just can't see A-Rod doing something like that."

-- Dan asked Rose who was the all-time HR King? Rose said Barry Bonds. Rose said no one has proved Bonds took steroids.

-- Rose had advice for Ryan Zimmerman, who has a 30-game hit streak going. Rose said he should have fun and cooperate with the media.

-- Dan asked Rose what's cheating. "When you're doing something that helps you become stronger," Rose said. Rose said things that affect stats, which are holy in baseball, that's when you're cheating.

Rose seemed to forgive pitchers that cheated. Rose pointed out that Mike Scott scuffed the ball, but said Scott was still a very good pitcher
