Hall of Famer Jerry West joined the show to discuss the NBA Playoffs.

-- West is upset about the officiating. At time I wonder what they're calling," West said.

West can't stand when they don't call something early on and then call it later in the game. West doesn't like the double-standard. He thought the refs blew the refs blew the end of that Mavs-Nuggets game when Carmelo Anthony got hit.

West isn't sure they're being consistent with flagrant fouls. "I wish they had called flagrant fouls when I was playing," West said.

-- West said that he didn't consider the Clippers GM job after they let Elgin Baylor goes. West said that he would have felt like a "bit of a traitor."

-- West confirmed that Jack Nicholson can be a creative scorer in golf.

-- West said he was very frustrated by not winning championships. His Lakers had trouble beating the Celtics in the finals. West only won one title. He said there were two times in his career that he wanted to walk away from the game.

-- "Houston, when healthy, is the only team that could play with the Lakers," West said. But West said without Yao, they don't have enough scoring.

-- Dan asked West about Phil Jackson snapping at reporter T.J. Simers for asking if Game 4 was embarrassing. West said that coaches are under a lot of pressure.

-- West said that the Magic really miss Jameer Nelson and that explains a lot of their trouble. But West is really impressed with the Celtics' determination. West said that Paul Pierce is underappreciated and Rajon Rondo is close to unguardable.

-- West said that since the NBA is a fulltime job now with so much money, so players bulk up as much as they can. The court isn't any bigger. So when guys go to the hoop, they're going to get hit.

West thinks Ron Artest is treated unfairly by the officials. He gets fouls because of who he is.
