-- Colletti said that he doesn't know much more than what's been reported as to what Manny took. Colletti said he doesn't have to give them details because of the collective bargaining agreement.
Colletti said he was "disappointed" in Manny. Colletti thought Ramirez was great until this happened. "Manny himself, he's been tremendous in the room with the guys. Great on the field," Colletti said.
Colletti agrees with Dan that it'd make sense if a team could ask for money back if a player is suspended for something, but the union makes that difficult.
-- Colletti said there's less pressure on kids in the minors to take performance-enhancing drugs than there was a few years ago. Colletti claims testing seems to be working.
-- Colletti said they've tried to get in on the Jake Peavy trade possibility before, but Padres GM Kevin Towers told the Dodgers they'd have to pay extra since they were divisional rivals. Colletti said San Diego wanted three players and a top prospect, and he couldn't do that.
