Reggie Miller joined the show to discuss the NBA finals. Surprisingly, he had little to say about photos of him with a blond on a beach from last week.
Miller, who has never won a ring himself, said he texted Charles Barkley after the game and said: "can you believe that D.J. Mbenga and Adam Morrison have rings?" Barkley texted back, "unbelievable."
Reggie says that Phil Jackson surpasses Red Auerbach as the best coach in NBA history. Reggie thinks Phil could very well decide to retire right now.
Reggie said Kobe would be in the same conversation with Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time. But to Reggie, Michael's two-year break cements his status as the best ever. Reggie said Jordan deserves enormous credit for pulling that off.
Dan asked Reggie who in NBA history is better than Kobe. Reggie started with Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson.
Reggie also had interesting comments on the Cavs and Shaquille O'Neal. Reggie thinks Cleveland needs help on the wing, not in the middle.
And Reggie caused a stir by saying that he's starting to work out today to get back in the hoops swing. But Reggie says there's no way he's coming back. Reggie and Dan got into quite a discussion of how Reggie would match up against Adam Morrison in one-on-one. |
