Minnesota Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis joined the show to discuss his new gig. Here are some of his takes ...
-- Rambis acknowledged it was very tough to leave the Lakers, but is excited about his new job. He explained that the Timberwolves are going to give him time to build a winner.
"We know we're going to take our lumps early," Rambis said. But he said that's OK, because he thinks there's young talent and he'll get more pieces in coming years.
-- Rambis explained the situation with Minnesota's first-round pick Ricky Rubio.
"He wants to come here," Rambis said. "He wants to be with this organization. The trouble is deaing with his team and the buyout."
Rambis said that Rubio will have a lot of work to do when he joins the NBA. "He's got an awful lot to learn when he gets to this level," Rambis said.
