Greg Paulus says that he's ready to start at QB for Syracuse

Greg Paulus joined the show to discuss his new role as Syracuse's starting quarterback. 

-- Paulus said he's put on some weight and worked hard to learn the scheme and thinks he's ready to be successful.

"I'm really excited," Paulus said. "I'm not too nervous. I'm trying to learn as much as I can."

-- Paulus said he looked at Michigan and Nebraska as well. Dan asked Paulus about the Wolverines, who right now have three quarterbacks rotating in. Paulus said that no school gave him a guarantee.

-- Paulus said that he loved winning on the road and making a hostile crowd go dead silent.

-- Paulus said he hasn't been late at Syracuse yet and he was never late for a basketball meeting at Duke.

-- Paulus said that Coach K has called a few times and is keeping tabs on his former point guard.

-- Paulus said that the guys do give him a hard time about being older. "They sometimes call me old man or grandpa," Paulus said.
