Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott joined the show to discuss the upcoming season ...

-- Lott had interesting comments on Michael Vick. He thinks it might help to have him there and have some competition. "It's somewhat healthy to have two great players there," Lott said.

Lott is a big fan of McNabb as a person. "He's the kind of guy who throws his arm around you, and you say, 'Man, he's a good guy,'" Lott said. Lott said McNabb is like Montana in that respect.

-- Lott said the first game is like "the first day of school." He always had some nerves for that Week 1 contest.

-- Lott said he wanted to hit hard since he was a little ki.d

"You wanted to play like Dick Butkus," Lott said. "You wanted to play like Larry Brown."

Lott said he wanted to take everyone down -- even Joe Montana. He said he loves Joe and he's like a brother. But Lott wanted to take down his brother.

-- Lott had interesting comments on the Wildcat offense. He thinks the Wildcat is too uniform right now, when it should focus on different ways to attack different defenses. "I would learn to run it against the 46 defense. I would learn to run it against the 4-3. I w ould learn to run it against the 3-4. Each defense is going to attack you a different way," Lott said.

-- Lott said that he hopes Michael Crabtree becomes a productive player because he could be hurting himself by holding out. Lott said that a key thing is the opportunity to be a rookie and get hazed and learn to fit into a team.
