Rodney Harrison: Seymour very upset about Raiders trade

Dan's NBC teammate Rodney Harrison joined the show to talk about the upcoming season. Here are some of his takes ...

-- Harrison said he talked to Richard Seymour. Harrison said that Oakland is in chaos. The coach hit an assistant, the best quarterback was cut, players don't like JaMarcus Russell ... "It's an embarrassment to the NFL," Harrison said.

Harrison didn't come out and said it, but he thinks that Seymour won't report for a while.

"That's devastation to a football career," Harrison said. "He's a five-time Pro Bowler and he goes to Oakland?"

Harrison said if he was traded to Oakland he would have driven to Chicago and jumped off the Sears Tower.

-- Harrison thinks that Philip Rivers has a very good chance to be the MVP this season. He likes what's going on with his former team.

-- Harrison said he knew pretty quickly that Ryan Leaf was going to have problems when they were together in San Diego. Dan asked how. "With all the whining and complaining. The work ethic or the lack thereof," Harrison said.

-- Dan asked if Harrison had a lot of first-game jitters. Harrison told a funny story about throwing up on his teammate's lap one time.
