Jerome Bettis joined the show to break down the NFL as the midway point of the season approaches.

Bettis thinks that Redskins owner Daniel Snyder finally spoke to the press because he's concerned about empty seats. Snyder said he was disappointed in the way the team was playing. But Bettis said that when you're a player, you don't care. You feel bad the team is losing as well. In other cases, Bettis said he was blamed for the team's problem when it wasn't fair.

Bettis said the Raiders have a responsibility to get someone in there to really work with JaMarcus Russell. Bettis seems to think that Russell hasn't gotten a fair chance to develop into a real QB.

Bettis also shared some stories about the bottom of the pile in the NFL. Bettis said one guy, a former friend, punched him in the stomach. Bettis said that isn't part of football, and neither is eye-gouging.

And just for fun, here's the video of Dan beating Bettis in a race at last year's Super Bowl.
