Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com called in during the 9 o'clock hour to talk about the happenings around the NFL in Week 9 so far.

Florio first spoke about yesterday's Redskins-Falcons game, when Atlanta coach Mike Smith and Washington's DeAngelo Hall -- a former Falcon -- got into a skirmish along the sideline.

"It wasn't quite a Woody Hayes thing," Florio said. "It just is the kind of stuff you don't want to see a head coach engaging in."

Florio said the NFL will look at video of the incident on Monday and decide whether to repremand either the coach. He said the league can't look the other way on Smith because they've always cracked down on players so hard.

Even if they don't repremand Smith, Florio said, you may see the NFL's competition committee address the incident during the offseason.

Florio also talked about the Packers' loss to the Bucs -- calling it the low point for the Packers in the post-Favre era -- and the Giants' gut-wrenching loss to the Chargers on Philip Rivers' last-gasp touchdown pass.
