Pat Haden on Notre Dame job, Harbaugh's future in Stanford

NBC's Pat Haden joined the show to talk about Notre Dame and more issues in college football.

Haden said Notre Dame will say it's evaluating their head coach situation, but the Irish may very well be looking right now. He said Charlie Weis can't afford another loss, but Notre Dame has some tough matchups against UConn and Stanford.

Here is Haden's key problem for Notre Dame in recent years: "They have not been able to gather great defensive teams. They've had pretty good offensive teams."

Haden also commented on Jim Harbaugh. Haden said he spoke to the Stanford coach recently and says Harbaugh may want to stay in Stanford.

"I think he thinks he can win there," Haden said. "The recruiting pool is relatively small, but he's got a lot to sell there."

Haden did say, however, that Harbaugh's situation could change if Notre Dame and the NFL start inquiring about him.

Haden also weighed in on the BCS situation. "The one team I wouldn't want to play right now is Goergia Tech," Haden said.
