Rick Neuheisel joined the show to talk about the situation with UCLA and USC.

Neuheisel said that his offensive coordinator Norm Chow told him he was staying and not going to UCLA. Here's how the conversation went:

Rick Neuheisel: I spoke with Norm Chow 10 minutes ago. And he said that he's staying at UCLA.

Dan Patrick: No matter what?

Neuheisel: Yes, those were his words. He's committed to continuing to build what we're doing.

Dan asked Neuheisel about reports Chow is interested in USC. "It's always that famous term 'sources say' and I've got the best source, Norm," Neuheisel said.

Neuheisel did say he wouldn't necessarily stand in anyone's way if money just got ridiculous.

"If all of a sudden if they throw a calvacade of cash at him, I'm not going to hold him ransom," Neuheisel said.

Neuheisel said that he has no problems if USC recruits want to switch to UCLA. He said some recruits have contacted him.

"They're obviously fair game," Neuheisel said of USC recruits. "Just like our coaches have been fair game."

Neuheisel said Lane Kiffin may face some serious challenges at USC. "There's at least some measure of reason for concern," Neuheisel said. "When you have a meeting with the NCAA infactions committe, you stand up straight."

Neheisel said he's looking forward to competing with Kiffin.

"He knows the battle lines are clearly drawn," Neuheisel said. "It's an exciting rivalry. It's one that we aim to make up any deficit that currently exists. And we are going to take him on on any street corner."

Neheisel also said he'd miss Pete Carroll: "I'm going to miss competing against Pete. He was as passionate for his program as I am mine. I thought we were gaining on him. I wanted another shot."
