Houston Texans
LP Field | Sunday, September 20 | 1:00 p.m. EST (CBS)
Pick: Titans 24, Texans 10
Tennessee Titans
QBMatt Schaub
230 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 1 INT
Schaub may put up decent yardage numbers because he'll be throwing the entire second half. It might not be pretty.
RBSteve Slaton
3 rec, 35 rec yards, 55 rush yards
With the Texans down a WR, and the tough Titans front, expect Slaton to be a target of Schaub on some short passes. Do not expect him to have a great game against this vaunted D, but be patient, Slaton will bust out soon.
RBChris Brown
25 rush yards
The big back shares his name with his kicker and the knucklehead who hit Princess Rihanna. He will not be lucky enough to share carries with the stud No.1 Slaton.
WRAndre Johnson
7 rec, 130 yards, 1 TD
The long and strong Johnson is too good to keep down for long. Both Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes went for 100 yards against the Titans last week. Expect the same from perhaps, the most talented WR in the league.
WRKevin Walter
2 rec, 20 yards
With Andre' Davis leaving the game early due to a concussion, look for Walter to attempt to play with a bad hammy. These injuries tend to be as nagging as a mother-in-law before a wedding.
TEOwen Daniels
6 rec, 45 yards
Daniels will be a frequent target for Schaub, particularly with the uncertainty about the No. 2 WR.
KKris Brown
1 PAT, 1 FG
The veteran who shares his name with the team's backup RB won't get a lot of shine if his team is getting their rears handed to them.
2 sacks
The Houston D is better than it looked against the Jets, when they recorded no sacks and allowed Mark Sanchez to convert on third down at will. Still, they're going to have a tough afternoon against Kerry Collins and a balanced Titans' attack
QBKerry Collins
235 pass yards, 2 pass TD
Kerry Collins should lead a balanced attack in dismantling the overmatched Texans.
RBChris Johnson
2 rec, 45 rec yards, 1 rec TD, 80 rush yards
This is one good-looking Johnson. He'll touch the ball twenty times and could very easily break a 20-plus yard screen for a TD.
RBLenDale White
35 rush yards, 1 rush TD
The Titans had trouble getting into the red zone against the Steelers, but they likely won't against the Texans. LenDale's still their go-to goal line guy. He had two touchdowns against the Texans last year and you can expect one from him here.
WRJustin Gage
5 rec, 70 yards
Gage had a nice night against the league's number one defense, to the tune of 7 receptions for 78 yards. There's no reason to believe that Collins won't keep looking in his direction.
WRKenny Britt
5 rec, 60 yards
His 85 yards last week seemed to justify Collins' faith in him. It would be unsurprising to see a number of balls thrown his way again this week.
WRNate Washington
2 rec, 15 yards
Hamstring injuries are never good for receivers, especially when your backup has as good a game as Kenny Britt did last week. If Washington isn't careful, he'll continue to lose time to the rook.
TEBo Scaife
4 rec, 45 yards, 1 TD
The Titans' leading receiver last year (58 catches) got sent to the locker room prematurely by a fumble-forcing hit by James Harrison. Though his knee isn't 100%, his value to Kerry Collins is immeasurable, especially with a young WR group.
KRob Bironas
3 PATs, 1 FG
The Titans should get in the end zone several times and Bironas should hit in his only attempt after missing two at Pittsburgh.
5 sacks, 1 INT, 1 Fumble
Houston's Offensive Line was lucky to have only given up 2 sacks against the Jets. Meanwhile, Tennessee got to Big Ben 4 times. Look for Matt Shaub to be under pressure all day long.
