Fantasy Player Projections
Jacksonville Stadium | Sunday, October 04 | 1:00 p.m. EST (CBS)
Titans 34, Jaguars 17
Pos. Player Projection
QB Kerry Collins
205 pass yards, 3 pass TD, 1 INTComing off his worst game of the young season (15-of-37, 170 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT), look for Collins to bounce back against the Jaguars in Week 4.
RB Chris Johnson
2 rec, 10 rec yards, 110 rush yardsJohnson struggled against the formidable Jets' defense but a trip to Jacksonville should usher in a return to his explosive ways.
RB LenDale White
55 rush yards, 1 rush TDTennessee's not-so-secret weapon for goal-line situations notched his first score of the season in Week 4. While Johnson is the feature back, White poaches the short-yardage opportunities with regularity and should notch a touchdown every other game or so.
WR Justin Gage
4 rec, 55 yards, 1 TDGage is the No. 1 receiver on a squad that depends heavily on the ground attack. Start only if the matchup accommodates. The Jaguars fit the bill.
WR Nate Washington
2 rec, 45 yards, 1 TDWashington, one of Collins' favorite targets in the red zone, should get a fair share of looks inside the 20. As such, he's not the most ideal fit for PPR leagues.
WR Kenny Britt
4 rec, 60 yards, 1 TDThe ability to make big plays may be tantalizing, but the consistency has a long way to go. That said, look for Britt to score his first NFL touchdown against the Jags.
TE Alge Crumpler
3 rec, 35 yardsThe tight end's days as an offensive force may have passed. He's still good for a couple of catches and the occasional score, but stay away if you're looking for anything more.
K Rob Bironas
4 PATs, 2 FGsBironas is a safe choice regardless of the matchup.
3 sacks, 2 INT, 2 FumblesTennessee is a reliable fantasy defense capable of posting a healthy point total most weeks with the occasional eruption in others.
Pos. Player Projection
QB David Garrard
155 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 2 INTA No. 1 starter? No way. But Garrard is proving to be a competent bye-week replacement, even given the paucity of talent in Jacksonville.
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
3 rec, 40 rec yards, 85 rush yards, 1 rush TDJones-Drew is high on confidence following Sunday's three-touchdown outburst against the Texans. Finding the end zone against the Titans presents a much taller task, but MJD should continue to shine as the focal point of the Jacksonville offense.
WR Torry Holt
4 rec, 65 yardsHolt has 169 receiving yards and zero touchdowns after three games. It won't get any easier for the 33-year-old wideout to find the end zone.
WR Mike Sims-Walker
5 rec, 50 yards, 1 TDBack-to-back games with 80-plus yards receiving have made Sims-Walker one of the most sought-after free agents on the waiver wire. Can he keep it going against the Titans?
TE Marcedes Lewis
3 rec, 35 yardsLewis was a buzzworthy free agent after finding the end zone in Week 2, but was unable to build on that performance Sunday. He's not worth a start in any format.
K Josh Scobee
2 PATs, 1 FGYou can do better on the waiver wire. Keep looking.
3 sacks, 1 INTThey've surrendered a lot of points without forcing too many turnovers. Don't expect the circumstances here to change anytime soon.
