Fantasy Player Projections

Chicago Bears
Georgia Dome | Sunday, October 18 | 8:20 p.m. EST (NBC)
Pick: Bears 27, Falcons 24
Atlanta Falcons
Pos.PlayerProjection
QBJay Cutler
225 pass yards, 2 pass TD
Can Cutler crack an Atlanta defense that's allowed just three touchdowns through the air in 2009? It's not the easiest fantasy matchup, but Cutler is no worse than a low-end No. 1 quarterback for Week 6.
RBMatt Forte
5 rec, 35 rec yards, 70 rush yards, 1 rush TD
So much for that knee injury. Forte's long-awaited breakthrough came in Week 4 against the Lions, when the sophomore tailback ran for 121 yards and a touchdown (in addition to a pair of catches for 21 yards). He's been improving week by week from the start, so expect another standout effort in Atlanta.
WRDevin Hester
4 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD
Hester was able to nurse his neck strain over the bye week and is expected to be 100 perceent for Sunday. He's a solid No. 2 wide receiver.
WREarl Bennett
4 rec, 40 yards
Bennett caught just two balls for 32 yards against the Lions, a disappointing effort against the most favorable matchup available. Start him in a pinch, but look elsewhere if you've got options.
WRJohnny Knox
4 rec, 35 yards
Knox is hardly a must-start, but the rookie out of Abilene Christian has been a solid fantasy play at the flex position in recent weeks.
TEGreg Olsen
6 rec, 60 yards, 1 TD
Olsen had just one catch against the Lions but it was for a touchdown. He's got two touchdowns in two games and remains as solid a play as anyone at the tight end position.
KRobbie Gould
3 PATs, 2 FGs
Gould is a solid No. 1 kicker option moving forward, starting with Week 6 at Atlanta.
Defense
3 sacks, 1 INT
The Bears get to the quarterback (14.0 sacks) and haven't given up a lot of points (78), but their inability to force turnovers makes them an average fantasy unit. Still, a solid play against the Falcons.
Pos.PlayerProjection
QBMatt Ryan
195 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 1 INT
Ryan is a solid No. 1 fantasy quarterback regardless of the matchup, but particularly against Chicago's 20th-ranked pass defense.
RBMichael Turner
95 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Sit Turner at your own risk. He's the type of back capable of blowing up for 150 yards and multiple touchdowns on any given Sunday.
WRRoddy White
5 rec, 75 yards, 1 TD
White gouged the San Fran secondary almost single-handedly, catching eight passes for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 5. You can't expect a performance like that every week, but you've got no choice but to leave this guy in your lineup.
WRMichael Jenkins
4 rec, 40 yards
Leave Jenkins on your bench for all but the most favorable matchups.
TETony Gonzalez
6 rec, 80 yards, 1 TD
Gonzo is still a must-start tight end every week.
KJason Elam
3 PATs, 1 FG
The veteran kicker has rebounded from a rocky start to reclaim his role as one of the NFL's most reliable boots. Start him.
Defense
1 sack, 1 Fumble
You could do worse than Atlanta's middle-of-the-road unit, but you could also do better.
