Fantasy Player Projections
Lambeau Field | Sunday, October 18 | 1:00 p.m. EST (FOX)
Packers 24, Lions 6
Pos. Player Projection
QB Daunte Culpepper
175 pass yards, 1 INTCulpepper, who started in Week 5 in place of the injured Matt Stafford, is expected to get the call again in Sunday's NFC North meeting at Lambeau Field. Don't expect much.
RB Kevin Smith
3 rec, 20 rec yards, 55 rush yardsSmith has marginal fantasy value in PPR leagues where he gets credit for catching dump passes out of the backfield. If you're not playing in one of those, drop him like a bad habit.
WR Calvin Johnson
5 rec, 60 yardsJohnson has missed practice this week with what's thought to be a sprained knee. Monitor the situation closely over the course of the week.
WR Bryant Johnson
4 rec, 55 yardsIf Calvin Johnson doesn't play, this might be a shrewd play as your No. 3 fantasy receiver since he'd be elevated to a
de facto WR1.
TE Brandon Pettigrew
3 rec, 40 yardsPettigrew hasn't been very prolific, but he's been consistent: good for a couple catches and a few dozen yards in each game so far. But he's yet to find the end zone.
K Jason Hanson
2 FGsHanson is a definite No. 1 kicker in spite of Detroit's offensive woes.
1 sack, 1 FumbleDetroit has surrendered a ton of points but they've also managed a pair of defensive touchdowns so far. You could do worse, but you could do a lot better also. Avoid starting them against the Pack.
Pos. Player Projection
QB Aaron Rodgers
205 pass yards, 2 pass TDRodgers is a must-start under normal circumstances. But against the Lions after a bye week? At home? Fresh off a 384-yard outburst on
Monday Night Football? Doubly so.
RB Ryan Grant
2 rec, 10 rec yards, 105 rush yards, 1 rush TDGrant cracked 100 all-purpose yards for the first time this season against the Vikings. He's been consistently good throughout the year and remains a no-brainer start with the Lions in town.
WR Greg Jennings
7 rec, 90 yards, 1 TDJennings has managed to underachieve so far -- with just 11 catches in four games -- but remains a threat to post massive fantasy numbers as the No. 1 wideout on a prolific offense. Don't even think about benching him against the Lions.
WR Donald Driver
6 rec, 60 yardsDriver is No. 2 on the Green Bay depth chart but No. 1 in production so far. Start him.
TE Donald Lee
3 rec, 25 yardsLee's underwhelming season hit new depths against the Vikes on national TV, when he dropped a 28-yard pass in the end zone. He's not worth starting at tight end, especially since Rodgers splits targets between two tight ends.
TE Jermichael Finley
3 rec, 20 yards, 1 TDSix catches for 128 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings ... from the same guy who didn't even crack the stat sheet in Weeks 1 and 3. Which Finley will show up Sunday against the Lions? Don't waste a roster spot to find out. Look elsewhere.
K Mason Crosby
3 PATs, 1 FGCrosby is one of the league's better kickers playing on one of the league's better offenses. Start him without hesitation.
1 sack, 1 INT, 1 FumbleGreen Bay hasn't had a lot of success getting to the quarterback, with just 5.0 sacks on the year. But they've been strong in every other defensive category and must be started against Detroit.
