Fantasy Player Projections

Miami Dolphins
Bank of America Stadium | Thursday, November 19 | 8:20 p.m. EST (NFL)
Pick: Panthers 24, Dolphins 20
Carolina Panthers
Pos.PlayerProjection
QBChad Henne
125 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 1 INT
Henne was just alright against the Bucs, going 17-for-31 with 175 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT. He's an efficient game manager that's going to be relied on to not screw up and let his RBs control the time of possession. With just 5 TD and 4 INT on the year, he's just an emergency option.
RBRicky Williams
3 rec, 40 rec yards, 80 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Ricky has proven himself effective and very willing to share the rock with Ronnie Brown. But now that Brown is out for the season, can he thrive in a full-time role? Williams rushed the ball 20 times for 102 yards against the Bucs. He also had 2 catch for 5 yards.
WRGreg Camarillo
2 rec, 40 yards
Camarillo replaced Ted Ginn in the starting lineup three weeks ago. He made little impact against Tampa (2 catches, 17 yards), though more than Ginn, who didn't catch a pass. He's not a fantasy option, with only 27 catches and 0 TD on the year.
WRDavone Bess
3 rec, 35 yards, 1 TD
Bess had 4 catches for 72 yards against the Bucs. It was his second game with over 20 receiving yards since September. That stat should remind you of one of many fundamental truths in this world: Never get involved in a land war in Asia, don't go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line -- and don't start a Dolphins wideout, even if he’s their top guy.
TEAnthony Fasano
1 rec, 10 yards
He was inactive against the Bucs. The week before, he had 1 catch for 20 yards against the Pats. He has 14 catches for 113 yards on the year. That's like three quarters of a Dallas Clark game. He's scored a single TD on the year and is an inadvisable start under any circumstances.
KDan Carpenter
2 PATs, 2 FGs
Ol' Carpie killed it against the Bucs, going 4-for-4, including 45- and 49-yarders. He's hit 15-for-16 on the year and certainly merits a start because of his strong leg and the fact that he hasn't missed a kick since Week 2.
Defense
3 sacks
This Dolphins unit is 19th in YPG and 27th in PPG after giving up 23 points and 302 yards to the Bucs. They are not a recommended start against a Carolina offense that was firing on all cylinders against Atlanta.
Pos.PlayerProjection
QBJake Delhomme
150 pass yards, 1 pass TD
Delhomme didn't throw a pick for the third straight week against the Falcons, going 15-for-24 with 195 yards and 2 TD. Obviously, he's still got 13 picks and isn't very good, but in this case, he isn't the worst situational matchup against the league's 27th-ranked pass D.
RBDeAngelo Williams
3 rec, 30 rec yards, 105 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Despite his backfield mate Jonathan Stewart's two touchdowns last week, Williams is playing like the No. 1 fantasy RB we all thought he was. He had 19 carries for 92 yards against the Falcons, one week after a 21-carry, 149-yard, 2 TD game against the Saints. He's fourth in the league in rushing with 860 yards. He's always a good start, even against the Dolphins seventh-ranked run D.
RBJonathan Stewart
45 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Taking time off from hosting 'The Daily Show,' Stewart had an easy time against the Falcons, carrying 11 times for 82 yards and 2 TD. Two weeks ago, he had similarly excellent games against the Cards (17 rushes for 87 yards and 2 TD) and two weeks before that against the Bucs (17 rushes, 110 yards, 1 TD). It seems his carries are subject to John Fox's whims. He's been doing well every other week. Consider him a No. 3 fantasy RB with upside.
WRSteve Smith
4 rec, 55 yards
Smith caught 4 balls for 34 yards against Atlanta with 2 TD. He's got 38 catches for 512 yards on the year with 3 TD. He's been over 100 yards just once. Meh. Despite the two scores, Smith played the second half with a rib injury. He's a lower-tier No. 2 option, or a heady No. 3.
WRMuhsin Muhammad
4 rec, 45 yards, 1 TD
Muhammad had his best game of the year against Atlanta, catching 6 balls for 91 yards. He's had a very mediocre year thus far, catching just 30 balls for 310 yards with no TDs, but is a wild-card No. 3 fantasy WR against the lousy Dolphins pass D.
TEJeff King
2 rec, 20 yards
With 15 catches for 145 yards on the year, King is not a viable fantasy option at TE.
KJohn Kasay
3 PATs, 1 FG
Kasay went 0-for-1 against Atlanta and is just 8-for-12 on the year. Recommendation to avoid.
Defense
2 sacks, 1 INT
They are the 23rd-best unit in the league in PPG. They gave up 400 yards to the Falcons last week. They're not an advisable start.
