Whatever Donovan McNabb might have said to him after the game, it's hard to imagine that it could help Cutler too much this year. He looked really bad again on SNF, going 24-of-43 for 171 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT. He missed open receiver after open receiver. He threw 5 picks the week before in San Francisco. The erratic gunslinger is a No. 2 option against Minnesota. Anybody remember Jeff George?
Forte had 14 carries for 34 yards and caught 4 balls for 20 yards against the Birds on SNF. One week before, he had 161 total yards against the Niners, catching 8 balls for 120 yards. He's been over 100 rushing yards just once and has gotten into the end zone only 3 times this year. He's a low-end No. 2 fantasy option, a major first-round bust for a lot of fantasy teams.
We've been saying it all year long: this dude is a return man, not a No. 1 WR. 'The Court' Hester caught 4 balls for 18 yards against Philly. A guy like Hester can't handle a corner like Sheldon Brown. Consider him a No. 3 fantasy option against Minnesota.
Johnny Boy caught 2 balls for 16 yards against the Eagles. The rookie wideout had better Knox on wood, because he'll need lots of luck to become a relevant fantasy player again. His 22 catches for 376 yards on the year are pedestrian at best. He's not a strong fantasy WR option.
Olsen caught 6 balls for 42 yards against the Eagles. He was targeted a team-high 12 times, and could have had a monster game if Cutler wasn't five yards off all night. He has a half-dozen touchdowns on the season, tied for third among TEs. He doesn't have the other numbers that the elite TEs do, but is a good option as he's a favorite target of Cutler's in the red zone.
Robbie was Gould against the Birds, going 4-for-5 including a 49-yarder. Kicking is such a crapshoot, and this guy is as Gould as any: 16-for-19 on the year.
The Bears defense looked good against the Eagles ... just good enough to lose. They have a nice pass rush, but you wouldn't start a good defense against Minnesota right now, let alone a mediocre unit that let Donovan McNabb drive for a winning TD in the fourth quarter against them.
With 21 TDs and 3 INTs on the year, Favre has perhaps the best numbers of his first-ballot Hall of Fame career. After dissecting the Seabags (22-for-25, 213 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT), Favre is poised to take apart the Bears. Favre's a top fantasy QB in this matchup.
Peterson carried 24 times for 82 yards against Seattle in Week 11 to get to 1,005 yards on the year. Despite being third in the league in rushing and second in TDs, he's been largely held in check this season, hampered by four inopportune fumbles and only going over 100 yards on three occasions. Nonetheless, you picked him first overall. You'd never sit him.
Berrian caught 2 passes for 11 yards and his fourth TD of the year. He's a lower-end No. 3 fantasy option with only 32 catches, but probably trades even lower as he's got a sore hammy. Favre spreads the ball out a lot.
Harvin had 5 catches for 79 yards and a TD against Seattle. The electrifying rook became an exciting NFL player immediately (36 catches, 501 yards, 4 receiving TDs, 2 return TDs), and the fact that he can get into the end zone on any touch makes him a good No. 3 WR option.
You can't coach size. 6-foor-4 Sidney 'Sticky' Rice is Favre's favorite target. He had 6 catches for 89 yards and 2 TD against Seattle, one week after going for 201 yards against Detroit. In Weeks 6 and 7, Rice caught 16 balls for 312 yards. He's fourth in the league with 875 receiving yards. He's a recommended No. 1 fantasy WR against the Bears. As we've seen, the sky is the limit.
Brett Favre loves him some tight end, especially crammed into a pair of Wranglers. Shiancoe had a team-high 8 catches for 78 yards with a TD against Seattle. It was his seventh score of the season, which ranks second among tight ends. He's only 15th at the position with 33 catches, but is a worthy start for his red zone prowess alone.
Long and strong, he's one of the top kickers in the league. Longwell didn't kick a FG against the Seabags because Favre kept throwing touchdowns. He's only missed once this year, going 15-for-16 for a high scoring offense. He is always recommended start unless he's kicking in a wind tunnel or in an environment that artificially mimics the gravity on the moon.
Led by madman Jared Allen, the Vikes have the top pass rush in the league with a league-leading 35 sacks. They're 10th-ranked in PPG and 12th in YPG, a recommended fantasy start against Cutler and the Bears.
