It's crazy that such a lousy NFL QB has been able to put up such reasonably decent fantasy numbers week after week. Campbell threw for a respectable 256 yards with 0 TD and 1 INT against the Cowboys last week. With 10 TDs and 9 INTs on the year, he's the definition of mediocre and not a recommendation to start.
The Rock had an pretty good 13-carry, 67-yard, 7-catch, 73-yard performance against the Cowboys after Ladell Betts went down with a torn knee ligaments. With Portis out a couple more weeks, feature back duties go to the man with the best name in the league. He's a solid No. 3 fantasy flyer against the ninth-ranked Eagles' run D.
Moss had 5 catches for 38 yards against the Cowboys last week. He's only gotten into the end zone twice and, with 40 catches for 546 yards on the year, is no more than a No. 3 fantasy WR against the Birds.
He had 5 catches for 45 yards against Dallas and has only 34 catches and 366 yards with 0 TDs on the year. He is not a recommended fantasy option at this point.
'Fred's Got Slacks' Davis had 2 catches and 24 yards against Dallas. He's been just average since Chris Cooley went down. Scouts have been long on his talent since he played for USC. Davis should be a No. 2 or low-end No. 1 fantasy TE against the Eagles, who have trouble with tight ends -- including Davis, who last month caught 8 balls for 78 yards and a TD against them.
Suisham had been a perfect 12-for-12 on the year, before missing 2-of-4 tries against the Cowboys. He is no longer an advisable start with his Mr. Perfect mystique shattered.
The 'Skins were three minutes away from pitching a shutout in Dallas. But in typical Redskins style, they not only coughed up the shutout but also the game. They're a decent defense -- sixth in the league in PPG -- but don't do the kinds of things that make fantasy defenses good, like score DTDs or force a lot of turnovers. Mild recommendation to avoid.
McNabb completed 23-of-32 passes for 244 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT against the Bears. He's got 14 TDs and 5 INTs in eight games this year. Don's a lower-end No. 1 against the Skins' league-best passing D. While the fact that Andy Reid refuses to run the ball confounds Eagles fans, it pleases Donovan's owners to no end.
McCoy had 99 yards on 20 carries with a TD against Chicago. He had 115 total yards as the starter against Dallas (13 for 54 on the ground, 5 catches for 61 yards) two weeks ago with Westie out of the lineup. He's a No. 2 fantasy RB and could be poised for greatness. It feels like Westbrook may be done and the future is here.
Jackson had another good game against Chicago, catching 8 balls for 107 yards and a TD, one week after catching 8 balls for 91 yards against the Chargers. Look for the Birds to keep getting the ball in the hands of their most explosive player. He has 7 TDs on the year -- all for over 50 yards -- and is a threat to take it all the way every single time he touches the ball. He's turned into a good No. 2 fantasy WR.
Maclin has settled into a decent groove after his Week 5 breakout game (6 catches, 142 yards, 2 TDs against the Bucs). He's averaged almost 5 catches for 57 yards with 2 TD in the Eagles' last five outings. Maclin caught 6 balls for 64 yards against Chicago and was targeted 9 times. He's a No. 3 fantasy WR.
Avant guarded the ball well in his catch and run TD against the Bears. It seems like Coach Reid finally learned what Birds' fans have known for two years: Jason Avant can flat-out play. Avant caught 4 balls for 26 yards against Chicago one week after making eight catches for 156 yards in San Diego.
'Tom' Celek had 4 catches for 35 yards against Chicago. That game ended his three-game TD streak. He has established himself as one of the top tight ends in the league, seventh in the league among TEs in catches (with 50) and in fifth in yards. He should be started every week, though he had his worst game of the year against the 'Skins the first time the teams met.
Akers was 1-for-1 against Chicago last week. He's 11-for-11 in the last four weeks and ranks second in the league with 20 FGs. Akers, one of the best kickers in the NFL, is always a good option on a high-scoring team.
The Eagles sacked Jay Cutler just once and picked him off once. The unit is third in INTs, second in sacks, seventh in DTDs, 13th in PPG and 8th in YPG. Yes, they did have the pleasure on dining on some of the worst offenses in the NFL ... but the 'Skins fit that description. Recommendation to start.
