Fantasy Player Projections

San Francisco 49ers
Georgia Dome | Sunday, October 03 | 1:00 p.m. EST (FOX)
Pick: Falcons 24, 49ers 17
Atlanta Falcons
QBAlex Smith
190 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 5 rush yards, 1 INT
The Falcons' pass defense is ranked 22nd in the league, but Smith has just two touchdown passes this season. He is nothing more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback at this point.
RBFrank Gore
3 rec, 30 rec yards, 75 rush yards
Gore's activity in the passing game helps his fantasy numbers even when he does not run for many yards, so expect another productive week from him.
WRMichael Crabtree
5 rec, 70 yards, 1 TD
Crabtree has been held to just six catches in three games, but owners have to hope that replacing the offensive coordinator will lead to better results.
WRJosh Morgan
2 rec, 25 yards
Morgan caught his first touchdown pass in Week 3, but his overall production has been too spotty to warrant a start this week.
TEVernon Davis
5 rec, 65 yards, 1 TD
Davis' receptions have gone down each week, but he remains an elite fantasy tight end.
KJoe Nedney
2 PATs, 1 FG
The 49ers offense is not moving the ball well enough to give Nedney many opportunities, so go a different direction.
1 sack, 1 Fumble
The 49ers defense has just three sacks and two interceptions through two games, so go with another option until they start making more plays.
QBMatt Ryan
235 pass yards, 2 pass TD
Ryan has a 5:0 TD:INT ratio over his last two games, so he is coming in hot against a team that is struggling. Ryan could provide some nice production this week.
RBMichael Turner
1 rec, 10 rec yards, 90 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Turner's numbers have gone up each week and he should see plenty of work against the 49ers. He is a strong option in Week 4.
RBJason Snelling
25 rush yards
Snelling showed last week that he will not do much when Michael Turner is healthy, so he is nothing more than insurance for now.
WRRoddy White
5 rec, 75 yards, 1 TD
White has posted double-digit fantasy points in each week. Expect another string effort.
WRHarry Douglas
3 rec, 30 yards
Roddy White is the only Falcon receiver doing any damage right now, so don't count on much from Douglas.
TETony Gonzalez
6 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD
Gonzalez showed last week that he still can get it done, so make sure he is in your lineup every week.
KMatt Bryant
3 PATs, 1 FG
Bryant is averaging nearly 10 points per game this season, so give him a shot if you need a kicker this week.
4 sacks, 1 INT, 2 Fumbles
The Falcons have intercepted a league-high six passes, and they should be able to get at least one off Alex Smith. They could put up decent numbers against a 49ers offense that is not doing much.
