Fantasy Player Projections

Philadelphia Eagles
Candlestick Park | Sunday, October 10 | 8:20 p.m. EST (NBC)
Pick: Eagles 27, 49ers 13
San Francisco 49ers
Pos.PlayerProjection
QBKevin Kolb
210 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 2 INT
Michael Vick's injury makes it likely that Kolb will start against the 49ers this week. San Francisco is ranked 20th in the league in pass defense, so this could be the week Kolb gets back on track after a shaky start.
RBLeSean McCoy
2 rec, 20 rec yards, 30 rush yards
McCoy's status for Week 5 has not been determined, but there is a decent chance he misses this week's game. If McCoy sits out, Mike Bell would be the Eagles' primary back.
RBMike Bell
50 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Bell could see extended carries this week if LeSean McCoy (rib) is forced to sit out. He has just 12 carries this season but will be a viable option this week if he winds up starting Sunday.
WRDeSean Jackson
5 rec, 75 yards, 1 TD
Jackson's production has been minimal in the two games Kevin Kolb played in this season. Kolb will likely start this week, but keep in mind he did connect with Jackson on a couple deep passes a year ago. Hopefully they are able to find that connection.
WRJeremy Maclin
4 rec, 60 yards
Maclin caught just one pass last week, but he deserves another start this week against a questionable 49ers secondary.
TEBrent Celek
5 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD
Celek is not producing much in terms of yardage or receptions. Give him a start this week, but don't expect big numbers.
KDavid Akers
3 PATs, 2 FGs
The Eagles' offense has not looked very good with Kevin Kolb at quarterback, making it hard to expect much from Akers this week. Hopefully Kolb can get the Eagles back on track and give Akers a few opportunities.
Defense
3 sacks, 2 INT
The 49ers offense has not looked good this season, so count on a productive week from the Eagles defense.
Pos.PlayerProjection
QBAlex Smith
200 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 2 INT
Smith has thrown only three touchdowns this season compared to seven interceptions. Don't expect much from him against an Eagles team that is ranked fifth in pass defense.
RBFrank Gore
3 rec, 20 rec yards, 55 rush yards, 1 rush TD
The Eagles are above average against the pass and below average against the run, so expect Gore to see plenty of action in Week 5. He is a strong start.
RBBrian Westbrook
1 rec, 10 rec yards, 10 rush yards
Westbrook continues to be a non-factor for the 49ers, so avoid using him for fantasy purposes.
WRMichael Crabtree
5 rec, 55 yards
Crabtree's numbers have increased every week, but he has not recorded more then 58 yards in a game and faces a good pass defense this week. Continue using options for at least another week if possible.
WRJosh Morgan
3 rec, 30 yards
Morgan has caught a total of just three passes over the last two weeks and does not have a good matchup this week. Use another option.
TEVernon Davis
5 rec, 50 yards, 1 TD
Davis has remained productive despite Alex Smith's troubles, but don't expect a big week against an Eagles team that is strong agains the pass.
KJoe Nedney
1 PAT, 2 FGs
Nedney has attempted just three field goals and five extra points in four games this season. Find another option that is getting more opportunities.
Defense
3 sacks, 2 INT
San Francisco's defense was very productive in Week 4, but they had not done much up to that point. They are available if you need them and have no faith in Kevin Kolb's abilities.
