Fantasy Player Projections

1San Diego ChargersPhilip Rivers
290 pass yards, 3 pass TD
The Patriots are 29th in the league in pass defense, so expect Rivers to throw a lot even if he is without one or two of his top receiving threats.
vsNew England Patriots
2New Orleans SaintsDrew Brees
250 pass yards, 2 pass TD
Brees' Week 5 performance rightfully scared fantasy owners, but he bounced back nicely last week with three touchdowns to one interception against Tampa Bay. He should beat up on another bad secondary this weekend.
vsCleveland Browns
3Kansas City ChiefsMatt Cassel
215 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 5 rush yards
Cassel has thrown three touchdown passes in two of his last three games, and he will face a Jacksonville pass defense in Week 7 that is ranked 28th in the league. Cassel's matchup and recent play make him a fringe starter in standard leagues this week.
vsJacksonville Jaguars
4Green Bay PackersAaron Rodgers
215 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 15 rush yards, 1 INT
Despite facing enormous pressure, Rodgers posted a 5:1 TD:INT ratio in two games against Minnesota last season. The Vikings have been strong against the pass, but expect Rodgers to play well in what will be a huge game for both teams.
vsMinnesota Vikings
5New York GiantsEli Manning
225 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 1 INT
Manning has thrown 20 touchdown passes in 11 games against the Cowboys, but this year's Dallas team is allowing just over 180 passing yards per game. Manning is a decent option, but don't expect a huge week from him.
atDallas Cowboys
6Seattle SeahawksMatt Hasselbeck
180 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 10 rush yards
The Cardinals have the 26th ranked pass defense in the league, but Hasselbeck has thrown just two touchdown passes in his last three games against Arizona. Don't consider him more than a second QB this week.
vsArizona Cardinals
7Washington RedskinsDonovan McNabb
185 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 10 rush yards, 1 INT
The Redskins had to throw from behind against the Colts, resulting in poor fantasy day for McNabb. While the Bears could move the ball, they are not as good as the Colts. Expect a bounce-back performance.
atChicago Bears
8Denver BroncosKyle Orton
175 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 10 rush yards
Orton does not have a great matchup this week, but he is still second in the league in passing and should be able to get back on track after throwing for a season-low 209 yards last week.
vsOakland Raiders
9St. Louis RamsSam Bradford
170 pass yards, 2 pass TD
While Bradford has performed well at times in his rookie campaign, he still has seven touchdowns to eight interceptions thrown. He isn?t a consistent fantasy option at this early stage in his career.
atTampa Bay Buccaneers
10Minnesota VikingsBrett Favre
210 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 2 INT
Favre threw seven touchdown passes in two games against the Packers last season, so even though he has been a little inconsistent this year, it would be wise to get him in your lineup this week.
atGreen Bay Packers
11New England PatriotsTom Brady
175 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 1 INT
Brady has thrown eight touchdown passes in four career games against the Chargers, but he will have a tough time putting up big numbers this week against a San Diego defense that leads the league in total yards allowed.
atSan Diego Chargers
12Baltimore RavensJoe Flacco
155 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 10 rush yards
The Bills have given up 10 touchdowns to one interception against opposing quarterbacks this season. The only thing that doesn't make this a great matchup for Flacco is the fact that the Ravens may run the ball too well for him to put up big numbers.
vsBuffalo Bills
13San Francisco 49ersAlex Smith
175 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 10 rush yards, 2 INT
Smith has had his best two games of the season the last couple weeks, but he is still shakey and a risky option against a Panthers team that is fifth in the league in pass defense.
atCarolina Panthers
14Dallas CowboysTony Romo
185 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 5 rush yards, 1 INT
The Giants are second in the league in pass defense, and although Romo has thrown a lot of picks lately, he should remain in your lineup after throwing multiple touchdown passes in each of his last three games.
vsNew York Giants
15Atlanta FalconsMatt Ryan
175 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 10 rush yards, 1 INT
The Falcons feature one of the league's best ball-hawking secondaries with 11 interceptions on the season. That's good news, considering how inconsistent Carson Palmer has been for the Bengals.
vsCincinnati Bengals
16Chicago BearsJay Cutler
170 pass yards, 2 pass TD, 2 INT
Cutler struggled mightily last weekend in his first game back from a Week 5 concussion. Luckily for him, the Redskins have one of the league's worst pass defenses, giving up over 298 yards per game.
vsWashington Redskins
17Tampa Bay BuccaneersJosh Freeman
155 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 15 rush yards
Freeman has significantly limited his mistakes in his second season as a starter, with three interceptions so far. There isn't enough positive production to warrant fantasy consideration at this point, however. Still, keep an eye on his development.
vsSt. Louis Rams
18Philadelphia EaglesKevin Kolb
190 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 2 INT
Kolb should get the start, with the Eagles' Week 8 bye allowing Michael Vick (ribs) one more week of recovery. Whoever starts could have a tough week against a Titans secondary with 10 interceptions to six touchdowns allowed.
atTennessee Titans
19Pittsburgh SteelersBen Roethlisberger
175 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 1 INT
Roethlisberger went 16-for-27 passing for 257 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in his first game back from suspension. Granted, the Dolphins should present more of a challenge than the Browns, but Big Ben looked in good form.
atMiami Dolphins
20Arizona CardinalsMax Hall
180 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 2 INT
Hall had the bye week to prepare for a Seahawks pass defense that is ranked 30th in the league, so he could be a decent option this week. Still, he is not more than a second quarterback in two-QB leagues given his inexperience.
atSeattle Seahawks
21Cincinnati BengalsCarson Palmer
180 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 2 INT
Palmer's production has varied significantly, largely depending on the caliber of defense he has faced. The Falcons have given up a lot of yards passing this season, but they also lead the league with 11 picks.
atAtlanta Falcons
22Cleveland BrownsColt McCoy
150 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 15 rush yards, 1 INT
McCoy turned in respectable first start to his NFL career, throwing for 281 yards, one touchdown and two picks against Pittsburgh. Either Jake Delhomme or Seneca Wallace may be ready to play this week. Still, whoever starts isn't much of a fantasy option.
atNew Orleans Saints
23Jacksonville JaguarsTodd Bouman
135 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 10 rush yards, 1 INT
Garrard suffered a concussion in the first half of Monday night's loss and Trent Edwards is hurt as well. That leaves as the likely starter somebody named Todd Bouman. Stay away.
atKansas City Chiefs
24Miami DolphinsChad Henne
160 pass yards, 2 INT
The Dolphins kept the ball on the ground, and Henne reined in last week. He is still averaging over 40 attempts over his last three games. The Steelers will bring a lot of pressure, however, and Miami will try to run the ball if they can.
vsPittsburgh Steelers
25Tennessee TitansVince Young
115 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 15 rush yards, 1 INT
It's unfortunate that Young had to leave Monday night's game against the Jags because he was on his way to big game before his knee injury. Double check his status this week, otherwise Kerry Collins will start. Neither are great options against Philly.
vsPhiladelphia Eagles
26Oakland RaidersBruce Gradkowski
100 pass yards, 1 pass TD, 1 INT
Gradkowski will likely start this week if he is cleared to practice, but the Raiders have yet to update his injury status. Gradkowski will only be a marginal option even if he is the one that ends up in the starting role.
atDenver Broncos
27Buffalo BillsRyan Fitzpatrick
100 pass yards, 2 INT
With the Bills often playing from behind, Fitzpatrick will have an opportunity to put up decent numbers. Coming off a bye, there's a chance the Bills come out rejuvenated as well. Still, on a bad team, Fitzpatrick should be a last resort fantasy option.
atBaltimore Ravens
28Carolina PanthersMatt Moore
100 pass yards, 2 INT
Moore will re-assume the starting role this week coming off the team's bye. He has not proven to be any better than fellow QB Jimmy Clausen this season, so use other options this week.
