Fantasy Player Projections

TIGHT ENDS
RankTeamPlayerProjectionOpponent
1Indianapolis ColtsJacob Tamme
6 rec, 70 yards, 1 TD
Tamme caught 11 passes on 16 targets last week and should continue to be a consistent option with Dallas Clark out for the season. If he is still around on waivers for any reason in your league, definitely jump on the chance to pick him up.
vsCincinnati Bengals
2Dallas CowboysJason Witten
5 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD
With Jon Kitna under constant pressure against the Packers, Witten was forced to stay in and block. When he is free to run routes, he is a great fantasy option as a safety outlet. The Cowboys face another elite pass-rushing defense this week, however.
atNew York Giants
3New England PatriotsAaron Hernandez
5 rec, 50 yards, 1 TD
Hernandez led the Pats last week with five receptions for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Keep an eye on what he does this week: If Hernandez sees more targets in the red zone he could be a solid sleeper pick over the season's second half.
atPittsburgh Steelers
4Jacksonville JaguarsMarcedes Lewis
4 rec, 50 yards, 1 TD
Lewis continues to be a touchdown machine for the Jaguars. He has a good chance to score again this week against a Texans defense that struggles to stop the pass.
vsHouston Texans
5Minnesota VikingsVisanthe Shiancoe
3 rec, 40 yards, 1 TD
Shiancoe found the end zone for the first time since Week 1 on his way to 66 yards on four catches. The departure of Randy Moss should open up targets in the red zone for Shiancoe, at least until Sidney Rice is back to full strength.
atChicago Bears
6Cleveland BrownsBenjamin Watson
3 rec, 40 yards, 1 TD
He is still the team's leading pass catcher, however the return of Josh Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi have cut into Watson's production, not to mention the rookie quarterback under center. There is little upside here going forward.
vsNew York Jets
7Atlanta FalconsTony Gonzalez
5 rec, 55 yards
Gonzalez saw 11 targets last week in catching eight passes for 72 yards. Keep in mind that it was just his second game over 41 yards this season. He is a better option in PPR leagues, but even then he is still in the second tier of tight ends.
vsBaltimore Ravens
8Baltimore RavensTodd Heap
3 rec, 35 yards, 1 TD
He is a nice option to have around during the chaos of bye weeks, but as that comes to a close Heap should find his way to the bottom of the bench or back on free agency.
atAtlanta Falcons
9Washington RedskinsChris Cooley
4 rec, 40 yards
Cooley is averaging 55 yards per game this season, so he is worth a start this week against the Eagles.
vsPhiladelphia Eagles
10San Francisco 49ersVernon Davis
3 rec, 35 yards
Davis has not done much against the Rams in his career, but he deserves a start this week as long as he is able to suit up. If not, look for backup Delanie Walker to pick up the slack.
vsSt. Louis Rams
11Miami DolphinsAnthony Fasano
3 rec, 35 yards
Fasano's yardage totals have been up and down, and he has only scored twice this year.
vsTennessee Titans
12Philadelphia EaglesBrent Celek
3 rec, 30 yards
Celek has yet to top 50 yards in a game and does not catch many passes when Michael Vick starts. Use a more productive option if you have multiple tight ends.
atWashington Redskins
13New York JetsDustin Keller
2 rec, 35 yards
Since catching five touchdowns from Week 2 through Week 4, Keller has yet to find pay dirt. He is still a steady target for Mark Sanchez , however, and should be considered against a Browns defense that has struggled to cover tight ends at times.
atCleveland Browns
14Pittsburgh SteelersHeath Miller
3 rec, 30 yards
If you need a tight end for the last bye week of the season, by all means target Miller. Otherwise you should have figured out by now that his fantasy prospects are not what they were a year ago.
vsNew England Patriots
15Kansas City ChiefsTony Moeaki
3 rec, 30 yards
Moeaki recorded a season-high 63 receiving yards last week, but he still has not scored since Week 3.
atDenver Broncos
16Tampa Bay BuccaneersKellen Winslow
3 rec, 30 yards
Winslow has not recorded more than 44 yards in any of his last four games, and he faces a Panthers defense in Week 10 that is fifth in the league against the pass. Go with a tight end that has been more productive in recent weeks.
vsCarolina Panthers
17Houston TexansJoel Dreessen
3 rec, 25 yards
Dreesen filled in well for Owen Daniels last week, so he could be a viable option in deeper leagues this week if Daniels sits out again.
atJacksonville Jaguars
18Detroit LionsBrandon Pettigrew
3 rec, 25 yards
Pettigrew had three receptions for 18 yards and a score last week. While it's nice that he is finding the end zone (three TD?s in his last four games) he still splits too many receptions with Tony Scheffler to be considered a weekly option.
atBuffalo Bills
19New York GiantsKevin Boss
2 rec, 20 yards
With so many other options in the passing game, Boss has largely been an afterthought in recent weeks outside of a short touchdown reception last week. He is tough to recommend, even if you still need a bye week replacement.
vsDallas Cowboys
20Seattle SeahawksJohn Carlson
2 rec, 20 yards
Carlson's inconsistency makes him only an average fantasy option this week. Go with a tight end who is putting up better stats on a regular basis.
atArizona Cardinals
21St. Louis RamsDaniel Fells
2 rec, 20 yards
Fells has hauled in two touchdown passes this season, but he has not been as productive as many other tight ends. Go with another option.
atSan Francisco 49ers
22Cincinnati BengalsJermaine Gresham
3 rec, 15 yards
The Bengals fell behind last week and were forced to throw downfield, leaving Gresham with just two catches for the game. He is a safety outlet in the Bengals' offense and has just two touchdowns this year, limiting his upside.
atIndianapolis Colts
23Chicago BearsGreg Olsen
2 rec, 15 yards
Olsen is still a highly inconsistent option to have to rely on. With one more slate of bye weeks to go, he is still worth consideration. Just be sure to demote him at week's end.
vsMinnesota Vikings
24Tennessee TitansBo Scaife
2 rec, 15 yards
Scaife has been very inconsistent this season, so go with a more reliable option in Week 10.
atMiami Dolphins
25Houston TexansOwen Daniels
1 rec, 15 yards
Daniels did not play last week, but he will be a decent Week 10 option if he suits up.
atJacksonville Jaguars
26Carolina PanthersDante Rosario
1 rec, 15 yards
Rosario continues to play only a minor role in the Panthers' offense, so look for a different option.
atTampa Bay Buccaneers
27Denver BroncosDaniel Graham
1 rec, 10 yards
Graham will not see enough targets to be a fantasy factor this week.
vsKansas City Chiefs
28Arizona CardinalsBen Patrick
1 rec, 10 yards
Patrick has been primarily used as a blocker this season and is not a fantasy factor.
vsSeattle Seahawks
29Buffalo BillsShawn Nelson
1 rec, 5 yards
Nelson hasn't even been thrown to since Week 7. There is no fantasy value her until further notice.
vsDetroit Lions
