Fantasy Player Projections

QBAndrew Luck

Andrew Luck

210 pass yards, pass TD, 2 INTs, 16 rush yards

The No. 1 overall pick out of Stanford completed 62.1 percent of his passes for 522 yards, three TDs and two INTs this preseason. He’s replacing a future Hall-of-Famer and he’s dealing with expectations built up from Cam Newton’s rookie season. He’s not worth a starting fantasy nod -- yet.

RBDonald Brown

Donald Brown

45 rush yards, 4 rec, 30 rec yards

Brown needs to put together a string of solid games in order to keep rookie Vick Ballard behind him on the depth chart. The Colts' offensive line is unimpressive to say the least.

RBVick Ballard

Vick Ballard

22 rush yards, 2 rec, 10 rec yards

Rumors are swirling that it's only a matter of time before the rookie, who has been more dynamic this preseason, surpasses Donald Brown as the starter.

WRReggie Wayne

Reggie Wayne

6 rec, 60 yards, rec TD

The veteran chose to stay in Indianapolis and bridge the gap from Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck. Without Manning, Wayne failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2003. Luck's arm should help Wayne to a bounce-back season.

WRAustin Collie

Austin Collie

3 rec, 35 yards

Collie suffered his fourth concussion in two years during the preseason, but he's expected to be ready for Sunday. Fantasy owners get nearly as many headaches dealing with Collie in their lineup as he does. He's still a weapon in PPR leagues when he's healthy.

TECoby Fleener

Coby Fleener

4 rec, 40 yards

The rookie out of Stanford was supposed to make an instant connection with former college teammate Andrew Luck this preseason, but it has yet to develop. Give these guys some time. For now, start another tight end.

KAdam Vinatieri

Adam Vinatieri

The offense just isn't expected to do much on the road against the Bears. The veteran kicker will get most of the scoring opportunities, but the offense has to get into field goal distance first.

INT, 3 Sacks

This Colts defense allowed 19 rushing touchdowns a season ago, which ranked 31st in the NFL. Very few fantasy owners should be considering the Colts DST in their lineup.

QBJay Cutler

Jay Cutler

280 pass yards, 2 pass TDs, INT, 13 rush yards

Finally, we get to see Cutler reunited with WR Brandon Marshall. The two haven’t played together since 2008 -- Cutler’s best year as a pro -- in Denver. These two should have a grand reunion at the expense of a subpar Colts defense.

RBMatt Forte

Matt Forte

85 rush yards, rush TD, 4 rec, 34 rec yards

Forte is expected to share some of his carries with Michael Bush this season, but this game against the Colts should be enough of a fantasy feast for both of them.

RBMichael Bush

Michael Bush

30 rush yards, rush TD, 2 rec, 13 rec yards

Bush is expected to see some goal-line action for the Bears this season. And the Colts' defense is expected to allow a lot of goal-line action this season.

WRBrandon Marshall

Brandon Marshall

8 rec, 95 yards, 2 rec TDs

Reuniting with Jay Cutler should do wonders for Marshall's fantasy value. His quarterbacks since Cutler left him in Denver have included Matt Moore, Chad Henne and Kyle Orton. He should have a field day against the Colts -- 15 targets isn't unreasonable.

WRAlshon Jeffery

Alshon Jeffery

3 rec, 35 yards

The rookie will have plenty of room to work, as defenses shift attention to Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte. Jeffery is a player to watch as the season progresses.

TEKellen Davis

Kellen Davis

3 rec, 20 yards

The Bears don't run many plays for their tight ends, and there are just too many good players at the position to consider a roster spot for Davis.

KRobbie Gould

Robbie Gould

4 PATs, 2 FGs

The Bears offense is expected to be much better with the addition of WR Brandon Marshall. Gould should see an increase in extra points, with a slight dip in field goal attempts.

2 INTs, 2 Sacks

The Bears DST faces a relatively easy matchup, as it goes up against a rookie quarterback, with a rookie tight end and several other replacement players from a team that was just a few years removed from the Super Bowl.
