| QB | ![]() |
Matt Cassel240 pass yards, pass TD, INT
Cassel threw for more than 300 yards Sunday against the Bills, but he has three touchdowns and three interceptions in two games this season. That's not a great ratio, and that makes him a tricky fantasy play for Week 3. |
| RB | ![]() |
Peyton Hillis65 rush yards, rush TD, 3 rec, 25 rec yards
With Jamaal Charles' knee sore, Hillis could see even more action in Week 3. The Saints are tied for allowing the most rushing touchdowns (five) in the league, making Hillis an intriguing fantasy starter. |
| RB | ![]() |
Jamaal Charles40 rush yards, 2 rec, 15 rec yards
Charles has to be happy that CJ2K is playing so bad, or he might be the biggest early-round disappointment. Charles' knee has some soreness, but he's expected to play at New Orleans, and the Saints have the worst rushing defense in the NFL right now. |
| WR | ![]() |
Dwayne Bowe6 rec, 70 yards, rec TD
The Chiefs leaned heavily on the passing game in Week 2 at Buffalo, and Bowe's fantasy owners were the benefactors. The Saints have yet to make an interception, and their defense in general has been horrible. |
| WR | ![]() |
Dexter McCluster3 rec, 45 yards
After a big Week 1, the diminutive receiver caught four passes for 32 yards at Buffalo in Week 2. He should have a much better game against the Saints' porous defense, but he's still a gamble. |
| TE | ![]() |
Tony Moeaki3 rec, 30 yards
Moeaki had just one catch in Week 2, which is interesting considering the Chiefs had to rely on their passing game at Buffalo. He's not quite up to where he was in 2010, before his knee injury. |
| K | ![]() |
Ryan Succop2 PATs, FG
Succop made one field goal and both of his extra points in Week 2, but he remains a mediocre fantasy kicker because the Chiefs just don't score enough. |
| DEFENSE |
INT, Sack
If you've started the Chiefs defense this season, you should be commended for being in a league with 24 teams. They should be bad once again in Week 3 at New Orleans. They have allowed 75 points so far this season. |

| QB | ![]() |
Drew Brees305 pass yards, 3 pass TDs, INT
When fantasy owners take a quarterback in the first round, they don't expect four interceptions in the first two weeks. Luckily, Brees threw for more than 300 yards in both games, with four touchdown passes. He should do very well against the Chiefs in Week 3. |
| RB | ![]() |
Mark Ingram70 rush yards, rush TD, 2 rec, 15 rec yards
The former Heisman winner rushed the ball 16 times in Week 2, which is only the third time in his career he has reached that mark. He scored at Carolina, but he still has to share the backfield with Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas. The Saints should play well offensively against the Chiefs in Week 3, but can all three backs contribute like they did in Week 2? |
| RB | ![]() |
Darren Sproles0 rush yards, 6 rec, 60 rec yards, rec TD
The "running back" still doesn’t have a carry in the 2012 season. He does, however, have 18 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown. He should perform well in Week 3 against Kansas City, especially in PPR leagues. |
| RB | ![]() |
Pierre Thomas65 rush yards, 2 rec, 15 rec yards
The Saints' three-headed running back machine had a big day against Carolina, with Thomas putting up the most yardage (110 rushing yards and 33 receiving yards). The Saints are opening up big holes for Thomas, who gets yardage after first contact. The Saints should perform well against the Chiefs in Week 3, but starting Thomas is a gamble outside of larger leagues. |
| WR | ![]() |
Marques Colston5 rec, 60 yards, rec TD
Not much of an afternoon from Colston in Week 2, but the Saints are still an offensive juggernaut, and Colston is the best receiver on a great passing offense. He should rebound a bit in Week 3 against Kansas City. |
| WR | ![]() |
Lance Moore4 rec, 40 yards
After getting 10 targets in Week 1, Moore was thrown to only five times in Week 2 at Carolina. The Chiefs have given up 75 points in two games so far, so Moore has a great chance to rebound in Week 3. |
| TE | ![]() |
Jimmy Graham6 rec, 85 yards, rec TD
So far this season Graham has 20 points in each game. The Saints score a lot -– and the Chiefs allow a lot of scoring. That bodes well for Graham's fantasy owners in Week 3. |
| K | ![]() |
Garrett Hartley4 PATs, 2 FGs
That's three field goals and six extra points for Hartley in the first two weeks. He's back from injury and worth starting in all leagues. |
| DEFENSE |
INT, 2 Sacks
The Saints have left a lot to be desired over the first couple weeks of the season, allowing 75 points. They have three sacks and one turnover so far, which means the Chiefs should be able to do some damage in Week 3. Don't use the Saints D/ST until they figure things out on defense. |
