| QB | ![]() |
Mark Sanchez220 pass yards, pass TD, 2 INTs
Sanchez didn't deliver back-to-back good games, but his Week 2 effort wasn't the disaster many had predicted. He threw for a touchdown and avoided interceptions, and now he faces a Dolphins defense that has some question marks. Even so, he's not worth starting. |
| QB | ![]() |
Tim Tebow0 pass yards, 20 rush yards
The Jets ran just three plays for Tebow in Week 2, but he made the most of his only rushing attempt, picking up 22 yards. Feel free to cut him, as the Jets have yet to use him as much as they promised. |
| RB | ![]() |
Shonn Greene60 rush yards, 2 rec, 10 rec yards
While Greene's stat line in Week 2 (11 carries, 23 yards) has owners feeling their 2011 frustrations again, keep in mind he suffered a head injury that cost him some minutes. Sophomore Bilal Powell could start cutting into Greene's touches moving forward. |
| RB | ![]() |
Bilal Powell25 rush yards, 1 rec, 5 rec yards
Shonn Greene's concussion allowed the sophomore running back to see extended playing time in Week 2 and he registered nine carries for 33 yards. Greene should be fine for Week 3, but Powell could see more touches as the season wears on. |
| WR | ![]() |
Santonio Holmes6 rec, 65 yards, rec TD
The Jets' top receiver caught a touchdown in Week 2, but he only had three grabs (on 11 targets) for 28 yards. The Dolphins' defense doesn't pose quite the same problem as the Steelers', so consider Holmes a decent WR3. |
| WR | ![]() |
Stephen Hill4 rec, 40 yards
Hill was thrown to just twice against the Steelers, one week after his two-touchdown performance in Week 1. He didn't catch either pass, and he's proof that fantasy owners need to expect inconsistency from rookie wide receivers. |
| TE | ![]() |
Dustin Keller4 rec, 40 yards
A hamstring injury continues to hamper Keller, with Jeff Cumberland starting in his place. Even if Keller returns in Week 3, consider an alternative until he proves he's capable of putting up good fantasy points again. |
| K | ![]() |
Nick FolkPAT, FG
Much like his teammates, Folk had a bit of a fantasy letdown in Week 2, with just one field goal and one extra point against the Steelers. |
| DEFENSE |
2 INTs, 3 Sacks
The Jets laid an egg in Week 2 against the Steelers after a big Week 1. They registered three sacks, but they couldn't get any turnovers. This unit should have a big day against the Dolphins and rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. |
|
| Pos. | Player | Projection |
| QB | ![]() |
Ryan Tannehill185 pass yards, pass TD, 2 INTs, 15 rush yards
The rookie got his first win in Week 2, and even though Tannehill showed some improvement (one touchdown pass and one rushing touchdown), he still has to make better decisions. The Dolphins will continue to ride running back Reggie Bush, which makes Tannehill's fantasy value muddy in coming weeks. |
| RB | ![]() |
Reggie Bush80 rush yards, rush TD, 5 rec, 40 rec yards
Bush had a career-high 26 carries against the Raiders in Week 2, for 172 yards and two touchdowns. The Dolphins are built around making room for Bush to run, and he remains a solid RB2 in fantasy against the Jets. He rushed for 71 yards against the Jets in his only game against them in 2011. |
| RB | ![]() |
Lamar Miller30 rush yards, 1 rec, 10 rec yards
Rookie Miller has replaced the injured Daniel Thomas as the second tailback on Miami's depth chart. Miller rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Raiders. If Bush gets hurt -- not unheard of -- Miller would be a decent pickup. |
| WR | ![]() |
Brian Hartline6 rec, 65 yards, rec TD
After leading the team in receiving in Week 1, Hartline did it again in Week 2, with nine grabs for 111 yards against the Raiders. While touchdowns might be hard to come by with a rookie quarterback, Hartline is starting to look good for PPR leagues. |
| WR | ![]() |
Davone Bess4 rec, 35 yards
Bess has averaged four catches for 44 yards in his first two games of the season. Once Ryan Tannehill gets comfortable, Bess could be a nice WR3 in PPR leagues. But until then, he's a better reserve or bye-week replacement. |
| TE | ![]() |
Anthony Fasano3 rec, 30 yards
Fasano has registered 19 yards receiving in both games so far this season, but in Week 2, he was able to get into the end zone for a touchdown. Even so, he's not much more than a fantasy TE2 right now. |
| K | ![]() |
Dan Carpenter2 PATs, 2 FGs
Carpenter has one field goal and six extra points on the season so far, most of which came in Week 2 against the Raiders. His scoring chances are going to be inconsistent this season. |
| DEFENSE |
2 INTs, 3 Sacks
The Dolphins have made it a point to become run-stoppers this season, despite what Houston did to them in Week 1. They forced one turnover, with no sacks, in Week 2 against Oakland. They allowed 20 points on average to the Jets in two games last season. |
