| Pos. | Player | Projection |
| QB | ![]() |
Andrew Luck277 pass yards, 2 pass TDs, INT, 11 rush yards
Luck faces a Tennessee defense that has allowed 16 touchdown passes, including three to Ryan Fitzpatrick last week. Luck was an artist with his feet against the Browns, but in Week 8 he'll stay in the pocket and slice up the Titans. |
| RB | ![]() |
Vick Ballard66 rush yards, 2 rec, 13 rec yards
It appears Donald Brown needs one more week of rest, allowing Ballard one more game to cling to his "starting" job. Fantasy owners shouldn't get too excited: If you eliminate Ballard's longest run of Week 7, he would have averaged just 3.0 yards on his other 19 rushing attempts. It's hard to believe, but Indianapolis misses Brown. |
| WR | ![]() |
Reggie Wayne9 rec, 111 yards, rec TD
Wayne ranks among the top three receivers in targets, yards per catch and yards per game. The Titans' defense ranks near the bottom in touchdown passes allowed, team sacks and opposing QB Rating. This matchup favors the Colts' passing game, and will provide a big payoff for Wayne. |
| WR | ![]() |
Donnie Avery4 rec, 56 yards
Avery may be the Colts' No. 2 wide receiver, but he is a stretch in fantasy, even as a flex play. He hasn't reached the end zone since Week 1 and over the past four games he's caught just 36.1 percent (13-of-36) of the balls thrown to him. |
| WR | ![]() |
T.Y. Hilton3 rec, 34 yards
If it hadn't been for Hilton's 113-yard day against Jacksonville almost a month ago, we wouldn't bother including him in the weekly projections. Fantasy owners need to keep in mind how raw the third-round rookie is. |
| TE | ![]() |
Coby Fleener3 rec, 48 yards, rec TD
The Titans are terrible at keeping opposing tight ends out of the end zone. Fleener has yet to find the end zone. Something has to give. We think it'll be the Titans' defense. |
| K | ![]() |
Adam Vinatieri2 PATs, 2 FGs
Vinatieri has been one of the league's most successful kickers from long distances, hitting three of his four attemptes from 50-plus yards. He's on pace to score 115 points this season, a considerable improvement from his 2011 total. |
| DEFENSE |
INT, Sack
The Colts have so much going for them in this game. They'll be chasing a 37-year-old quarterback in Matt Hasselbeck and will be trying to contain the league's most unstable running back in Chris Johnson. Somehow, though, we're not convinced those things will create a spark for one of the league's worst fantasy defenses. |
|
| Pos. | Player | Projection |
| QB | ![]() |
Matt Hasselbeck208 pass yards, pass TD, INT
There appears to be no rush to get injured starter Jake Locker back on the field. Why should there be? Hasselbeck completed 66.6 percent of his passes last week, including the game-winning touchdown pass to Nate Washington. Hasselbeck is helping to keep Tennessee competitive. That said, he's still not a viable starting fantasy quarterback. |
| RB | ![]() |
Chris Johnson101 rush yards, rush TD, 3 rec, 29 rec yards
We hate to predict a big week for Johnson, but the stars are aligned. The Colts got run over in Week 6 by Shonn Greene, who might be the only back in pro football less reliable than Johnson. |
| WR | ![]() |
Nate Washington3 rec, 49 yards
Washington has gained between 43-57 yards in each of the past four weeks, with little excitement except last week's fourth-quarter touchdown catch. He is a flex consideration, but if you can afford to keep Washington on the bench we highly advise you to do so. |
| WR | ![]() |
Kenny Britt4 rec, 43 yards
Britt still hasn't taken the big step we expect him to, and this week doesn't offer much promise. The Colts have not allowed a 100-yard receiver since Week 2 (Percy Harvin). |
| WR | ![]() |
Kendall Wright5 rec, 42 yards
Wright's production has slipped since Kenny Britt's return to the lineup, but the rookie remains a good possession receiver, with catch-and-run potential. |
| TE | ![]() |
Jared Cook4 rec, 46 yards, rec TD
Cook isn't the most exciting option, but in his last game against Indianapolis he recorded a career-best nine catches for 103 yards. He could prove to be Matt Hasselbeck's favorite target again this week. |
| K | ![]() |
Rob Bironas2 PATs, FG
Here's a stat you should know about Bironas: He hasn't attempted a field goal in three of Tennessee's last four games. If that doesn't scare you away from the Titans kicker, nothing will. |
| DEFENSE |
INT, 2 Sacks
The Titans' nine sacks are almost as bad as the 72.7 completion percentage they've allowed opposing passers. Things aren't likely to improve. |
