Fantasy Player Projections

Tom Brady

Brady underperformed just a bit against the Jets, throwing for 259 yards and two touchdowns, although for many quarterbacks that'd be a huge fantasy day. The Rams are a mediocre pass defense, which should allow Brady a chance for a rebound in Week 8.

Stevan Ridley

Ridley was expected to have a tough day against the Jets and that's exactly what happened, with just 65 yards on 17 carries. Ridley's going through a tough stretch on the schedule, but he remains a decent RB2 in most fantasy formats against the Rams.

Danny Woodhead

Woodhead totaled 46 yards on 10 touches against his former team in Week 7, and he remains a hit-or-miss fantasy starter in larger leagues. He faces a mediocre Rams defense in Week 8.

Wes Welker

Welker caught six passes for 66 yards in Week 7 against the Jets, and he continues to be one of Tom Brady's favorite targets. The Rams are a decent defense, but not good enough to hold Welker down.

Brandon Lloyd

Lloyd had one catch for six yards against the Jets, but he was targeted eight times. He was blanketed in coverage, but he should rebound in Week 8 at St. Louis -- his former team for a short while.

Rob Gronkowski

Gronk led the Patriots with six catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets in Week 7. That moved Gronk back among the scoring leaders at tight end. Only a couple tight ends are outdoing him on a per-game basis.

Aaron Hernandez

Hernandez did not make the trip to London with the team and is likely to miss the game with an ankle injury that has hampered him most of the season. Expect, Welker and Gronkowski to pick-up the slack

Stephen Gostkowski

Gostkowski was perfect on five kicks against the Jets in Week 7. Only Lawrence Tynes has more fantasy points among kickers so far.

The Patriots did relatively well against the Jets, recording four sacks, a safety and a defensive touchdown. The Rams aren't a formidable offense, so the Patriots are a good start once again.

Sam Bradford

The former No. 1 overall draft pick threw for 255 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Packers in Week 7. The Patriots come to town in Week 8, so Bradford remains a risky fantasy player. He has just three touchdown passes in his past six games.

Steven Jackson

Jackson finally got his first rushing touchdown of the season, in Week 7 against the Packers, on a day when he rushed 12 times for 57 yards. The Patriots have a pretty good rushing defense, however, and they have allowed only three rushing touchdowns.

Daryl Richardson

Richardson rushed 10 times for 36 yards and caught three passes for 43 yards against the Packers. The Patriots are strong against the run, so consider a different flex player in Week 8.

Brandon Gibson

Gibson caught five passes for 60 yards against Green Bay, and quarterback Sam Bradford continues to target him a lot with Danny Amendola still sidelined. The Patriots could force the Rams to throw the ball a lot in Week 8, making Gibson an interesting fantasy play.

Chris Givens

Givens caught three passes for 73 yards against the Packers in Week 7. He now has seven catches for 209 receiving yards in his past three games. The Rams might have to throw against the Pats.

Lance Kendricks

Kendricks checked in with just two catches for five yards in Week 7 against the Packers. Look elsewhere for fantasy help at the tight end position.

Greg Zuerlein

Zuerlein made two more field goals and two more extra points in Week 7, and he now has 17 field goals and nine extra points on the season. He has a huge leg, which helps him a lot in leagues that reward long-distance field goals.

While the Rams allowed 30 points to the Packers in Week 7, they were able to sack Aaron Rodgers three times. Even so, the Rams were a bad fantasy play, and the Patriots coming to town in Week 8 means more of the same.
