| QB | ![]() |
Philip Rivers215 pass yards, 2 pass TDs, INT, 12 rush yards
Rivers took advantage of a weak Chiefs secondary to post 220 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Week 9. The Buccaneers aren't much better in the defensive backfield, making Rivers a borderline fantasy starter once again. |
| RB | ![]() |
Ryan Mathews55 rush yards, 5 rec, 60 rec yards, rec TD
While Mathews' numbers against the Chiefs were meager (67 yards), the Chargers only gave him 13 carries. He was productive on those carries, averaging more than five yards per while sharing the running duties. The Bucs have a tough run defense, making Mathews a worhty play this week, but not a must-start. |
| RB | ![]() |
Ronnie Brown15 rush yards, 5 rec, 45 rec yards
Brown rushed six times for 38 yards and caught five passes for 38 yards against the Chiefs in Week 9. Brown now has 12 catches over the past two games, and the Chargers continue to go to him on passing downs, which makes him a nice reserve in PPR leagues. |
| WR | ![]() |
Malcom Floyd5 rec, 80 yards, rec TD
Floyd caught just his second touchdown pass of the season in Week 9 against the Chiefs. The Chargers' passing game is still off kilter, but Floyd should play well again in Week 10 against the Bucs, making him a decent WR2. |
| WR | ![]() |
Robert Meachem3 rec, 40 yards
A hamstring injury kept Meachem out of the Week 9 game against the Chiefs, and fantasy owners have likely moved on. He has produced just one decent fantasy game this season, but he has scored four touchdowns in six games against the Bucs in the past three years. Avoid him now, despite that history. |
| TE | ![]() |
Antonio Gates4 rec, 45 yards
Gates scored his third touchdown of the season in Week 9 against the Chiefs. He was only targeted three times, though, and the Buccaneers have given up just two touchdowns to tight ends this season. |
| K | ![]() |
Nick Novak2 PATs, FG
Novak was good on one field goal and four extra points against the Chiefs in Week 9, but that's the fourth game in a row in which he has scored fewer than eight fantasy points. |
| DEFENSE |
INT, 2 Sacks
San Diego had its best game of the season on defense in Week 9, scoring two touchdowns against the Chiefs. The Chargers now have four defensive scores this year, which ranks second in the league, but they’ll face a red-hot Buccaneers offense in Week 10. |

| QB | ![]() |
Josh Freeman265 pass yards, 2 pass TDs, INT, 14 rush yards
Freeman threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns at Oakland in Week 9, and he now has 11 touchdown passes in his past four games. The Chargers are better against the run than the pass, so consider Freeman a low-end fantasy starter in Week 10. He's on pace for a 4,000-yard season. |
| RB | ![]() |
Doug Martin85 rush yards, rush TD, 4 rec, 35 rec yards
In Week 9 at Oakland, Martin rushed for 251 yards, which was 45 yards short of the NFL record set by Adrian Peterson. Martin's 486 yards from scrimmage over the past two games are the most since Walter Payton in 1977. The Chargers are tough against the run, though, so expect a return to earth. |
| RB | ![]() |
LeGarrette Blount15 rush yards
Things are looking bad for Blount, as he got just two carries for five yards at Oakland in Week 9. On one of those carries, when he was trying to run some clock off and give Doug Martin a breather, he fumbled in the fourth quarter. Blount will get more carries to relieve Martin, but not enough to prove valuable. |
| WR | ![]() |
Vincent Jackson6 rec, 110 yards, rec TD
While Jackson caught just two of the four passes thrown his way, for 84 yards, he was able to score his sixth touchdown of the season. Now Jackson gets to face his former San Diego team -- the one that didn't pay him what he wanted. That's good news for his fantasy owners. |
| WR | ![]() |
Mike Williams4 rec, 75 yards, rec TD
Williams caught four passes for 68 yards and a touchdown at Oakland in Week 9, and he now has three touchdown catches in his past four games. It's obvious that Josh Freeman has renewed his confidence in the third-year wide receiver, who is a fantasy WR2 once again. |
| TE | ![]() |
Dallas Clark2 rec, 20 yards
Clark caught a pair of passes for 22 yards at Oakland, and he continues to be spotty in fantasy play. Look elsewhere in Week 10, as the Chargers are pretty tough against tight ends. |
| K | ![]() |
Connor Barth3 PATs, 2 FGs
Barth disappointed with two missed field goals at Oakland, but he did connect on six extra points. He has delivered four games with 10 or more fantasy points, but only one such game in his past four contests. |
| DEFENSE |
INT, 2 Sacks
The Buccaneers intercepted three Carson Palmer passes and sacked him twice in Week 9. But they also allowed 32 points and 402 passing yards. This unit is better against the run, but fantasy owners should steer clear of the Bucs for now. |
